Here we put frequently asked questions and answers.

If the cited code line contains "<p...>" the line is breaked.

This is bug in the plugin and will be fixed in the next release.

There is workaround - ENCODE < and > in your code with < and >

In case you followed Recommended Settings of JCE - you should not be affected.

CodeCitation does not work when article is splitted into pages...

The reason of this behaviour is "Content - Pagebreak" plugin.

To solve the issue, set the order of "Content - CodeCitation" plugin to be greater then the order of "Content - Pagebreak" plugin (for example, 10002)

Recommended settings for JCE (Joomla! Content Editor) WYSIWYG Editor:

To make your life copy/pasting code into your articles easier, and preserve indentation in the code (otherwise JCE will delete extra whitespaces and break your code visual structure), we recommend to do the following:

 • In Cleanup section of JCE Editor Setup of Joomla! backend set Cleanup HTML parameter value to "Yes" and Entity encoding parameter value to "named".

Frequently asked question about email addresses inside the code:

We have received this question many times and decided to put this information here.

If your code cite contains email addresses, then most probably your code presentation will be ruined by email cloaking plugin. For sure it is not CodeCitation plugin issue, but we all understand that you need to get what you want instead of determining who is guilty ^-)

We DO NOT suggest to switch email cloak plugin off for your site. Instead, we recommend to switch it off ONLY for the article with code citation.

To do that just put text {emailcloak=off} inside your article (do not use formatting in real life inside emailcloak tag). This will instruct the email cloaking plugin to keep email addresses untouched and will allow you to display them inside code cite correctly.
